Where had this earworm come from? Not only that, it seemed to come complete with dance steps that hadn't been popular in about two hundred and eighty years. She managed to control herself after a brief slide through the door onto the porch. The burgeoning greenery was heartening. Definitely advantages to being planetside

"Hey," Weevil said, walking up quietly.

She looked over at him and grinned. "Hey."

Weevil didn't really have much to say, so he just sat down. "You doin' alright?" he asked.

"I'm fine." She tilted her head a bit. "Are you?"

Weevil shrugged. "Stayin' out of trouble," he said.

"A very good place to avoid."

"Yeah, specially when I'm here specifically to not be in jail," Weevil said.

Ivanova frowned a little. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Eh," Weevil said. "I'm not exactly one to talk about stuff, ya know?"

She rolled her eyes. "That much is becoming rapidly apparent." She resettled next to him, performing a bit of compression to rest her head against his shoulder. "You don't have to talk. It generally helps, though."

"Yeah, yeah," Weevil said. "Just... weird having Logan and Lilly here, you know?"

She nodded slightly against his shoulder. "I'm sorry you have to deal with that," she said quietly.

"Yeah, yeah," Weevil said. "This really shouldn't shake me up like this."

That caused another little frown. "It was unexpected. Very unexpected."

Weevil shrugged. "Eh. Not like there's anything I can do."

"As long as you don't mope about it."
