Kaname was sitting at the table in the kitchen sleepily nursing a cup of green tea.

"Hi there again!"

Kaname looked up and smiled. "Hi there. Would you like some tea? It's green. There's more in the kettle."

"Oh I do like green tea! Yes thank you. I was going to have some cold pancakes. Would you like some? I can heat them up for you."

And it was green tea she'd brought with her from Tokyo she'd confirm if asked. None of that weaksauce store bought American stuff.

"Sure. That would be great. I haven't eaten yet."

Pippi set about heating a few up for her.

"So how are you settling in?"

"Oh, pretty well. It's kind of weird being back in America after so long but settling back in has been easier than I thought it might be," she confided with a grin.

"That's good." Pippi nodded. "Yeah, America is weird."

"Agreed. But then again, so is Japan. Where are you from originally?"

"All over the world mostly, I grew up on my papa's ship. But my family is from Sweden and I've lived there on and off."

On a ship? Military brat maybe? Kaname gave a mental shrug, determining that it probably didn't matter anyway. "How long have you been here in Milieux?"

"Ummm, couple of months. Since the start of summer."

Warren noticed the other person as he passed the kitchen. "Hello?"

Kaname blinked up at the newcomer. "Hi," she gave a small smile, still trying to wake up. "Are you a new arrival?" she asked, noticing the backpack.

Kaname noted silently that the new arrival was cute and smiled wider. "Nice to meet you, Warren. I'm new too. Just got here last week. My name's Kaname. Would you like some green tea? There's more in the kettle and cups in that cabinet over there," she said, gesturing towards the stove.
