The Gazebo in the Park, Tuesday Night

Connor sat at the top of the steps, leaning against the railing of the Gazebo. He was listening to his IPod, but only one earbud was in and the volume was turned very low. He wanted to hear the natural sounds of the night as well, if not more.

Weevil had been doing some jogging, trying to work himself out of any sort of feelings about... everything.

He jogged up to the gazebo.

"Everybody's mopin' lately," Weevil said by greeting.

"...Yeah." Connor said. "Sometimes we do that." He didn't know if this guy didn't know what had happened. Or, just hadn't known Thelma, so he was reserving judgement.

"You knew the Thelma chick?" Weevil asked.

"Not well." he admitted. "I only met her a few times. But...still sucks y'know?"

Weevil nodded. "Yeah," he said. "Still, not exactly moping on your own sucks."

Connor had to take a brief moment to decipher that. "That's true." he supposed, if he'd translated correctly. "Were you at the service?"

"I showed up, yeah," Weevil said. "Was the least I could do."

"I liked what Mr. Aziraphale said. "It helps to think that she's gone to a better place."

"Yeah, I guess," Weevil said. "Definitely makes things easier for people."

"You a religious man yourself?" Connor asked, indicating the cross tatoo.

[see_no_weevil]

"No more than anyone else," Weevil said. "Course, it's easy to believe a lot these days."

Connor didn't know how many other people of average religiosity got cross tatoos but okay. "Yeah I'll buy that. Before I came here it never even occured to me I might get pelted with toy pigs by a weetiny robot."

Connor also hadn't lived Weevil's life, and if Weevil had any idea Connor was thinking along those lines he wouldn't have been nearly as friendly.

"It's a weird place."

"It really is. I wish I could say that was the weirdest thing that'd happened though."

"You like your life boring?" Weevil asked.

[prodigalpawn]

"Not weird doesn't neccesarily mean boring." Connor objected. "Being pelted with Piggies was funny. Finding one of my classmates turned into a giant cockroach isn't."
