She nodded, then frowned when a nurse came in with a needle.

"What do you think you're doing with that?"

The nurse gave her a gentle smile. "It's all right, Miss Levine. It's for the pain."

"I don't like needles." Savannah's voice was a little worried.

"That's why it's going into the IV feed that you already have. We don't have to stick a needle into you for it."
