Lucivar was wheeled into the operating room. They had replaced that funny looking gown with a proper dressing curtain. He could feel the breeze on his back, and the remaining flesh that would be removed. The tension was slowly killing him, muscles kept tightening here and there, and he had to find the urge to keep it tensed in order relax

It didn't take Cuddy long to realize that he most certainly would need a respirator to breathe for him. Once she got that taken care of, she tended to his other wounds.

A nurse wheeled Sam in to Dean's room (much to Sam's chagrin; he thought he could walk). He sat next to his brother's bed, talking to him, trying to get him to wake up.

"Holy fuck!" Dean startled backwards and landed -- soundlessly -- on the floor. He stared at Sam for a long moment, then, hesitantly, followed Sam's gaze to the bed. And saw himself.

Dean started pacing. "Good idea. Or, I mean, I might just wake up, right?" He ran his hands through his hair again, forcing himself to calm down, and turned back to Sam. "You're okay, though. I mean . . . considering. Right?"
He knew Sam wouldn't hear him, but talking out loud felt right.
