Cuddy was at the clinic, sitting behind the front desk. It was quiet as usual. She wondered if it would stay that way.

Lucivar had been on his stomach for the last few hours, though he had to admit, whatever they gave him, had let him sleep and hide from the pain for the night.

Now he was told he was going to have a visitor, a doctor, to tell him about his back. His leg was broken, and they had spent the previous night settings it, it was now in a splint, and kept immobile. This was different from the healing he had been used to.

Thankfully, Rick, hadn't been too far away. They had bonded, being warriors, but Lucivar still didn't appreciate being flown into.

"So, Rick, how much longer you planning on staying, didn't they say you could leave already? Over night observations and all." Lucivar looked over to the chair Rick had been occupying for the last few hours.

"Just till someone can tell me how to find Evelyn." Rick looked up at the other man. "Besides, I can't exactly just walk away from you. I did kinda put you here. Though it sounds like that flight you took didn't do you much good either." Lucivar had explained the circumstances he used to get here. "There's supposed to be a doctor comin', I'm hoping I can ask her if there's a way to find Evie."

"You sure you're gonna be ok if I leave? If I find her, I'll come back with her, I'm sure she'd be pleased to meet you." Or study you.

Exam Room 1 - Lucivar - Day Shift

Cuddy wandered into the exam room just then, intending to talk with the patient about his injuries. She didn't expect to find Rick there as well. "Looks like you're feeling better. I can probably discharge you."

Rick looked over at the tall, dark-haired doctor that just wandered in, "Oh, hi doc. Yea, I think I can handle being discharged. Oh and I was wondering, do you know a person who lives in the area? Her name is Evelyn Carnahan, she might be a teacher at the local school or college." Rick looked back to Lucivar.

"The name isn't familiar to me," Cuddy replied, grabbing for Lucivar's chart. She looked back over at Rick. "If she lives in town, she's probably in the directory."

"That's great. Looks like my search is nearing it's end, and now I get to throttle her." Rick gave his best disarming smile to show he wasn't serious, but he coughed it away. "But seriously doc, what about my friend here. Is he going to be alright?" Indicating Lucivar with a tip of his head.

Cuddy glanced over the chart once again and spoke to Lucivar this time. "You seem to have some abnormal bone structure. Looks like the staff removed the infected area around these bones and cleaned it up as best as they could. Unfortunately, in order to remove the rest of the infected areas, we're going to have to remove these abnormal bones."

He has normal human physiology, but that bone structure was very strange. It made her wonder if he actually was human.

Lucivar looked over his left shoulder at Dr. Cuddy, "I'm guessing there's nothing that can be done to save my wings? The abnormal bone structure, I mean." Lucivar shifted carefully to look at her properly. "Any chance it will grow back?" Lucivar had never heard of anything like that happening in the history of Eyrien's and something told him that this world didn't have the capabilities to do something like that.

"Wings?" Cuddy repeated. Well, she supposed that made sense...for this town.

"I'm afraid there's really nothing else that can be done," she told him sympathetically.

Lucivar looked at her for a long moment, "I didn't think so." It could have almost been a sigh, but Lucivar just exhaled and returned to looking at the wall behind his bed. "Fine. When can we do this? I'd rather not put my life at risk." Lucivar folded his arms and put his chin on them.

"We can do this today if you'd like," Cuddy said. "An orthopedist is on call."

"Fine. Set it up. The sooner I'm healed the sooner I can get on with this life." Whatever kind I have left. "Just leave me alone till it's time." Lucivar gave a slashing look with his eyes at Rick to make sure he got the hint.

Cuddy nodded. "I'll set it up now."

To Rick she added, "And I'll find that address for you."

Rick got up from his seat and headed for the door, "If it's all the same to you doc, I'll come get those discharge papers with you." Rick looked back at Lucivar, "I'll be back, hopefully before the surgery, but if I can't, I'll be here when you get out." Rick didn't wait for a response and walked out the door.

Cuddy got the discharge papers in order and then found the address Rick was seeking. She wrote it down on a piece of paper and handed it over. "Guess you're free to go then."
