"Your vitals are strong and your wounds are healing nicely with no sign of infection," Cameron said. "I think we can probably release you today with some painkillers and hypnocil as long as you are ready."
"Great," Cameron said, unhooking Cally's IV line and detaching any other equipment she was hooked up to. "If you need help, call one of the nurses. I'll be back in a few minutes with your discharge papers."
The EMTs got Pippi situated in Exam Room Two and Cameron came in to check over her injuries. She was badly bruised, Cameron assumed from the fall, but didn't appear to have any broken bones. She instructed the nurses to take photos of her injuries before they cleaned them up and got her started on IV fluids and pain meds.
Cameron cleaned and stitched Pippi's wounds, noting that they appeared to be caused by the same weapon as Cally's. She, at least, did not have creepy words carved into her body though.
She checked Pippi's vitals and made sure she was getting enough pain meds through her IV and was going to leave the room so she could start making phone calls to try to ID the victim, when she thought she heard her patient say something. She paused to listen.
The soft words made a chill run up Cameron's spine. They were the same words that had been carved into Cally's back, which meant these two attacks were most definitely related.

"How are you feeling this morning, Cally?" she asked, checking the various monitors in the room.
