4 drabbles

These are from a drabble challenge me and my friend did (+ one random drabble). We gave each other three one word titles and three pairings.

Eternity
KaiSoo, PG-13, angst, words: 355

Summary: Jongin wanted Kyungsoo to be his forever.

~

The wind was freezing when Jongin stepped out of his car. There hadn't been any cars, unlike he expected, so he had no trouble in finding a parking lot. The weather wasn't particularly nice, considering it was autumn and winding very hard. Perhaps that was the reason why he had the pleasure of being alone in the whole place.

The gates creaked when he pushed them open, some of the rust sticking to his hand. The place was silent, only Jongin's steps making a sound on the graveled road. It was his first time going there after three weeks, but the path was still clear in his memory.

How could he ever forget.

It didn't take long to reach his destination, and exhaling a heavy breath, he stopped. It took a moment for him to gather the courage before kneeling down. He pushed aside what was left from the dried flowers from someone else's visit and replaced them with a single white rose. His fingers lingered on the ground for a moment before he took a shaky breath, opening his mouth,

"Sorry it took me so long."

It was still as painful as ever even if he had taken three weeks to heal himself from the last time. This time wasn't any easier, and deep down he knew that, but it didn't stop him from being a coward. He tried to protect himself even when the harm had already been done.

Jongin knew this was never meant to happen. He knew they both had wanted to grow old together. They had wanted to sit on the bench outside their shared apartment, watching how the kids played on the playground across the road, because they could never have their own. They wanted to eat dinner together every day, for as long as they could.

Jongin promised to give it his everything, and Kyungsoo promised him forever.

The wind blowed sadly on his hair and Jongin could basically feel Kyungsoo's arms wrapped around him, squeezing him hard and whispering endless apologies to his ear, and he closed his eyes.

"It's okay," he said. "We had our eternity."

Mojito
ChenKai, PG-13, humor, words: 673

Summary: Getting drunk is not necessarily always a bad idea.

~

"I think we should make this night more fun, Lu, like, drink something fun. Something exotic."

"You start to sound like Tao when you get drunk," Luhan sighed but stood up without an argument to follow his friend who had already headed towards the bar. Jongdae had barged into his room right after he came home from work and announced that he got a raise and they are going to celebrate and, really, who was Luhan to say no to that.

He regretted his decision to have given in so easily, because after three and a half beers Jongdae turned into a giggling nightmare who had no filter in his mouth.

When Luhan reached the bar, his drunken friend had already ordered them four tequila shots - two for each - and was now staring at the bartender's ass while the latter had turned his back to them to search for the right bottle.

"I would definitely not mind having a taste of that," Jongdae said from between his unmoving lips, apparently thinking he was being subtle and quiet when in reality the bartender probably heard him loud and clear. Jongdae's groan when the guy started to cut them lemon slices didn't really do wonders to the situation either and Luhan wanted to facepalm so hard and just slide off his chair and disappear.

After downing the two shots, Luhan fully expected Jongdae to start pulling him to the dance floor like he usually did, but instead his friend had started to order more drinks, his words already coming out slurred. Luhan tapped his shoulder and opened his mouth to voice his protest for having more alcohol when Jongdae lifted his hand up and waved him off.

"Not now, Lu," he stammered drunkenly. "The tanned god is talking."

Luhan wanted to cry out in frustration.

It had been an hour and Jongdae had drunk two drinks he couldn't even name and he was feeling a bit drunk.

Okay, very drunk. He had found a really handsome bartender with a really cute butt and he had spent a good amount of time staring at him. The said bartender was now standing before him and Jongdae could have sworn he had grown another head. However, his lips were moving and all Jongdae could make out of it was "name", so he said the drink's name he wanted to order.

"Mojito."

For some reason the bartender burst into a fit of laughter, all of his perfect, white teeth showing and Jongdae stared at him a bit dumbfounded. The bartender thumbed the corner of his eye to wipe off the tear that had started to roll down from laughing.

"I think you've had enough to drink."

Jongdae just furrowed his brows at that and looked to his left. Luhan had left a while ago muttering something about not wanting to ruin his image because of Jongdae being a drunk idiot. The latter turned to glare back at the bartender, vision a bit blurry.

"Oh, I think I'm perfectly capable of holding a little more alcohol," he said and the guy just shrugged and poured him the drink.

After taking the first sip of his mojito, everything turned a bit hazy and black.

Jongdae woke up with a hammering headache, and when he lifted himself to a sitting position on his bed, his stomach turned upside down. He headed to the bathroom to make sure he wouldn't throw up on his bed and was not prepared for what waited him when he looked at the mirror.

His hair was a complete mess and he looked like a zombie with his blood-shot eyes, but that was not what surprised him. It was the blue note stuck on his cheek. He reached for it, peeling it off of his skin and noticed someone had scribbled something on it.

Nice to meet you, Mr. Mojito.
If you're not too hungover
could we grab a bite later today?
- Tanned God

There was a phone number written on his hand with a thick, black marker.

Carefree
het!SeKai, PG-13, angst, words: 370

Warnings: drug usage

~

He was used to watching her drift away.

He was used to being there for her, to hold her hand and to take care of her when she couldn't look after herself anymore. Whatever it was, he would be there, even if she wasn't.

He didn't know when it came to this, and why he never voiced his doubts to her. He didn't know why he never stopped her, why he never asked her to stop. Why he always stayed behind when she took a step forward. Why he never tried to stop her from moving forward.

Forward wasn't good. He needed her to move backwards.

He needed her to come back.

It didn’t matter what it was. A pill, a pile of white powder… It was all the same for him and it all felt the same for her. It hurt him to watch but it felt good for her. She was relieved and he was crushed.

It was one of those times again and he just looked as she popped a pill between her thin lips, washing it down with water.

"Come on, come here," she called for him, patting the space next to her on the couch. Without a word he sat down, keeping his hands on his lap. He didn't want to move, but she made him, and he let her.

She lifted his arm and wrapped it around herself, leaning her head on his shoulder, sighing contently. It was hard for him, but he knew how much harder it was for her without all this. He leaned down to softly press a kiss on her hair, caressing her side. They sat quietly for a long time.

"I'm floating," she suddenly said. "I'm floating and you're not." Something twisted inside him and he gripped the couch cushion, knuckles turning white.

"I wish you'd float with me," she said and he closed his eyes tightly.

"I know."

He was used to watching her drift away, but it never eased the pain he felt, the heavy weight on his heart, the burning behind his eyes.

He would have saved her, but he couldn't. He couldn't do anything but only watch her ruin herself.

So he ruined himself too.

Rush
Xiuhan, PG-13, fluff, words: 315

Gross fluff without a plot.

~

“Mmm… Don’t move,” Luhan groaned as Minseok started shifting beside him, lifting his arms off from him. The latter paused for a moment, sighed, and let his hand fall back to its earlier place.

“You always take forever to wake up and I don’t have time to just lay here awake, alone,” Minseok groaned as he pressed his face to Luhan’s hair, who chuckled as a response. They cuddled silently for a moment, until Minseok opened his mouth again.

“Seriously, don’t sleep.”

Luhan groaned and turned on to his back, rubbing his eyes which weren’t accustomed to the brightness of the room yet.

“Why do you have to be so mean. It’s too early,” he whined, and Minseok swatted him with a pillow, making Luhan just laugh breathily.

“It’s 1pm, you ass.”

They had been at their friend’s birthday party last night and as usual, Luhan had gotten really drunk and didn’t want to leave until it was absolutely necessary. Which was at 4am when he barely could walk himself and Minseok had to take his clothes off and tuck him into bed.

“I remember you making me a promise last night, too…” Minseok said and Luhan quirked an eyebrow, amused smile on his face as Minseok stared mischievously down at him.

“And what exactly is it that I promised?” He asked innocently, and immediately he felt a hand wander over his stomach, under his navel. Minseok just gave him a lopsided grin as he pulled the waistband of Luhan’s pants just to let it go and snap to his skin. Luhan just mouthed an o, and in a second Minseok’s world shifted and he was being pinned down on the bed. He was dumbfounded for a second, but it didn’t take long for he smirk to appear on his face.

“Now we’re talking,” he murmured as Luhan leaned down to press their lips together.
