i finished beating halo 3 on legendary this morning. i think it took me about 5 days? maybe 6. /nolife.
it's kind of cool seeing all three story lines linked, instead of having a several year break in between each game. it's also fun to note the changes and advances in video game technology as you move from one game to the next. graphics are the most notable difference, but the amount of stuff that can happen on the screen without bogging down the xbox in halo 3 is also impressive.
i would also like to note that even though Halo 1 holds a special place in my heart, Halo 3's campaign was very enjoyable to play on legendary. here's a quick breakdown in terms of single player campaign modes on the Legendary setting:
Halo 1: the classic. i am a king at this game. the only reason it's easy is probably because i know where everything is/happens, allowing me to anticipate.
Halo 2: Hell. this game was the hardest, most of the time just plain tedious. get shot 6 times and die? ridiculous. i ran/snuck past alot of areas.
Halo 3: This was the easiest, it was epic and enjoyable. it looks pretty.
i feel like an aficionado.
in other news:
i'm visiting the UP for Michigan Tech's winter carnival next week. i'm excited, but also slightly worried; my mom talked to my grandma today and she said it was 15 below in Houghton this morning.
yikes.
