(no subject)
So I went to Gencon this past weekend. 2 days worth at least. Friday night I called asoka and he was in valpo, so I called his brother suhada, and he was on call at the hospital until ~10:30...so I called suhada's girlfriend, who I have never met or talked to before...and went out to a 1st-2nd year med student party she was hosting. I had a great time, met some very cool people(a couple more interesting than others) and got to see one of my best friends after he got off work. His girlfriend was really cool, and I felt entirely comfortable hanging out with her before Suhada showed up. It was good to not feel entirely awkward.
So saturday I was rather hung over and got a late start, but I met up with some online friends for lunch and it was cool to put some names and faces together. Now Saturday night we went out to Buca de Beppo's with the Privateer Press crew (the bad boys of gaming). There were ~25 of us and our table of 5 put down more on our bar bill than all the other tables together...lol. It was a fun night. Tons of amazing italian food, good wine, good booze...good friends. Then we went back to the gaming room at gencon...and the Privateer Press crew busts out the booze....while playing WarMachine (their game..it's a ton of fun). So they are getting drunk, having a good time, in a huge convention room full of dorks with a sense of alcohol taste that probably didn't extend beyond mike's lemonade. Ah well, it was nice to have time away from responsibility for a couple of days....but damn did I miss morgan.
We've had a great day...Brian (my brother) and his girlfriend katy were home from colorado for his birthday, so we had a nice family get together. Good to see brian and dustin...it's been to long...ah well, enough for now.
