My ears are ringing, too...

The irony is overwhelming. A mere two weeks after I made my post about spring, my allergy medication has utterly and completely stopped working. I've been given a new type of medication but it makes me drowsy and doesn't seem to be helping at all.

I went to make a progress report on my latest research project to the Chief Prosecutor, who took one look at me and reassigned all of my cases! Discrimination!! Since when do allergies preclude one from doing one's job!? He spouted some ridiculousness about the flu going around, but I was so outraged I hardly listened. My pleas fell on deaf ears, it seems, and now my cases are a burden on Klavier Gavin and my sister.

Not to be outdone, Murphy's law has decided to come in full force. There seems to be something wrong with the heating system in my office and it's been alternately freezing cold and blisteringly hot for the last few days. The maintenance crew seems to have come to expect my hourly calls, they refuse to answer from my office phone or my cell. They refuse to acknowledge that there is anything wrong!

Franziska, I trust that you will take care of my cases. And to Klavier Gavin I'd like to apologize. Through some unpleasant coincidence, so shortly after you expressed that you felt stressed under the workload you have, you now have the added burden of my cases to work with. If you feel your new system will not be able to suffer the influx, I'd appreciate your voice added to mine in the petition to get them assigned back to me. In the event that that fails, I'll give you any help I can on them. I've sent inter-office envelopes with all my notes on them to both of you.

Now I suppose I'll get back to the work that I have left. There's always something to do, even if it's all the things I would prefer to put off... The stress of the whole situation has really gotten to me, though. I have the worst headache... So bad that it feels like it's spread to the entirety of my body... Oh yes, for that reason I'd appreciate it if you kept yourself to acoustic guitar for now, Klavier.

[[The notes he's sent mostly make sense but they start to get somewhat ambiguously phrased by the end, and his handwriting starts to get really hard to read.]]
