what an interesting year it was, kids. I always think that the year is like.... soooo long, so if I tried to do a retrospect of everything that happened, I'd be pretty hard pressed, you know. But I'd like to give my own personal little shoutouts to the folks that made this year fantastic for me. All the big players I pretty much remember on a daily basis, but anyways, here I go. All this is pretty non-chronological, because like I said, it's hard for me to remember just how long the year was.
Here's to the girl from Emerson from the Ben Folds show at the Hatch Shell. We stood outside in the rain, and you found my glasses for me, and then we met Ben Folds. I said I would buy you a sandwich, but you never called me. That's ok.
Here's to the waitresses at the South Street diner for being there at 4 o clock in the morning and providing me a nice refuge from the drug dealer laden streets of Chinatown, all while being cute and serving me coffee and quesadillas.
Here's to Trish. My first teacher crush, it took me till my 3rd year of college to get one, but it happened, man.
Here's to Wendy, you're the prettiest girl I've ever encountered. And that's how it's gonna be.
Here's to Mark. Thank you for playing your songs for me, though you know I'm sad now cause you went back to California and I can't get them on MP3 yet. Cause they're yours. I'm gonna miss you at karaoke, boy.
Here's to my new friends in Freezepop. Having a favorite "local" band is another first for me, and it was fun going to all the shows. I know Kassan thinks I'm a little creepy, but ah well. That's what crazy fandom does to people.
Umm. I'm struggling here, so I'm just throwing down a list of names of new people or people that made a difference this year. Even though I can only really remember as far back as summer. Jersey Jeff, Liz (not benade), Liz Benade, Liz Enthusiasm, Emerson Kate, Linnea, Mesha (i swear to god you're the craziest), Missa, Charly/Kel/Jewy McDownsyndrome, Kendra, Nicole/Jen, the whole JP crew, the cast of A Mighty Wind, and i dunno. lots of other stuff, all in all the year hasn't been bad, which you wouldn't gather from the lj entries, but that's cause it's no fun to write about fun stuff, haha. Anyways, I hope this year is filled with new friends and more shows and I find the perfect love of my life forever. A little melodramatic but whatever. Happy Ought Four.
