Not my most brilliant idea...
Stupid: deciding to clean the oven when all of the windows in your apartment are shut due to the fact that it's exactly 0 degrees Fahrenheit outside. I opened the kitchen window, since I figured freezing was preferable to asphyxiation, but it's going to be a bit unpleasant for awhile.
Other than that, I'm back from a studying/finals/Christmas with family hiatus. I passed all my classes, so I've officially completed my first semester of grad school! Only one of my kids complained about his final grade, and he got smacked down by the professor. Christmas was excellent; I got both cooking stuff and cold-weather gear, so I think I'm ready for January/February/March. And my awesome awesome roommate gave me a crockpot! I'm very excited.
I've been a bit blue for the past couple of days, but I think that's because stuff hasn't really started yet, thus the cleaning to keep me occupied. But I'll start in the lab on Monday, and the boyfriend's birthday is tomorrow, so I think I'll be kept busy. (I got him a Swiss Army knife, by the way, since he's been eyeing mine. That's a good girlfriend gift, right?)
