Update on wisdom teeth...or lack thereof

Hi everyone! The swelling is worse today, and there's just a little tiny bit more pain, but absolutely no need to take anything except Motrin. No narcotics for me, thank you. Don't need them. It's weird though, the pain is worse today than it was yesterday. Then again, the nurse yesterday told me that the second and third days were the worst for recovery, and after that everything was uphill. Yesterday I was on clear liquids, today I started on more substantial liquid foods (yogurt, pudding, etc.). Tomorrow I can start eating soft foods like scrambled eggs, pancakes, noodles and all that good stuff. I can't wait!!! I'm tired of liquid foods. Tomorrow, I'll also be going to church for services on the eve of Theophany, and again on Friday morning for Theophany services. Then over to Becky's for Vespers at her church, then a sleepover, then back to my church on Saturday for Vespers and Sunday for Liturgy. It'll be a busy weekend, and then school starts Monday at 4 p.m. Which reminds me...I need to put in my requests for a couple books through interlibrary loan, register for my parking sticker, get my books at the bookstore...yay. Time to spend money! And I still need to go out and get some new shoes and maybe a pair of jeans. Anyway. Everything will work out just fine, I know it will.

And school starts on Monday!!! I'm so excited! I'm tired of sitting at home and not doing anything! I like breaks, but I like to get going right away again for some reason. I don't know. I'm just happy that I'll be in class and doing cool stuff soon!! I've picked out a bunch of linguistics books to read, and I'm investigating graduate school options and all that good stuff. I'm really really really looking forward to this semester, though I know that I'll be keeping myself ridiculously busy. Ah, that's the good way for me to be - prevents me from being lazy!

I think I should be going now. It's a little bit late, I want to eat a little something more before I go to bed, and I have to brush my teeth (CAREFULLY) and then rinse out "the extraction sites" with a water/peroxide/salt mixture (which tastes so wonderful...) and then go to bed. I'm currently enjoying Hyacinth, and shall continue enjoying Hyacinth for a few more episodes, and then I'll go to bed. Mom and Dad are letting me sleep on the couch now because it's easier for me to sleep on my back (with head elevated) on the couch than in my own bed. Besides, when I sleep on the couch, my kitty comes up and stays with me the whole night. When I first got home from Russia, she treated me as though I were a stranger. For anybody who has met my cat, you know that this is not pleasant.

Ok, yes, I really will be going now. I'm doing well, looking forward to school, and looking forward to this swelling going down. It doesn't really hurt, it just feels like someone punched me, and it's weird. Anyway. I'm going, I promise. I'll write again sooner or later, hope life is treating you all very very well!!!
