Well then...

I finally got tired of the stress I am constantly under at Georgia State Prison, so after 11 months, I decided to interview at Bulloch County Correctional Institute.

Everybody at GSP just got a 10% raise...which is nice. I also work a SHITLOAD of overtime at GSP, I pull a double shift (16 hours) on my last day of work, and on my middle day off I pull 16 hours straight overtime...trying to pay my bills. I was going to pay off 2 of my credit cards with my check after next, since it's going to be about 2 grand, but...I have to pay my $500.00 deductible on my truck, because I avoided hitting a dog and hit a trash can instead. Yay. Next time, the dog dies. Less damage :P

Financially, GSP is the better option, but the drive is about 30 minutes longer. If I stayed at GSP and got promoted on time, then next month I'd be getting another 10% raise, by making Correctional Officer II. In January, we're supposed to be getting a 3% raise. But then, the stress is more at the prison, the drive is longer. You work alot more days, which means more 1 hour 10 minute drives (one way), meaning more gas. So it's a toss-up. :P

Now I just have to wait for Mrs. McNeil to turn in her written resignation so she can go back to GSP, and I should hear back from Bulloch County about the job.
