Weird (and possibly a little self indulgent)

I'm being quite amazed at present about how fast my old job is working to make me persona non grata. Apparently my name is not to be mentioned in the presence of management if you want to achieve something, my invite to the Christmas party is one of several which has been rescinded and they are looking for ways to remove my account from the knowledge management system I implemented, administered and project managed over the last 3.5 years.

I've been musing about why this is so and these are some of the ideas I've had:

*  given that I was quite disenchanted when I left they may be frightened of industrial sabotage - this is a stupid idea if that is the case, I put the tool in place, I know how effective the audit trails are.  I also spent 3.5 years of my life making it into one of the top 3 international implementations of this particular software amongst federal departments - why would I stuff it up?
*  insecure management - the team that they have at the moment is very weak, their 2 senior people currently at my level were under performers who were promoted for promotions sake, the director has no HD management experience or knowledge management experience, the 2IC's that they've promoted were very junior and again promoted to fill a void.  The one truly amazing person they've got currently goes on maternity leave in a week and they wouldn't look after her to give the seniority level she needed to do the job properly or the training. They've gone from having an amazingly strong management  team of 3 very senior/experienced staff with good supports to the current arrangement.  The old guard were also quite vocal about our lack of confidence in the new team's ability to do the job.
*  I was known to be friendly with the old director who was blacklisted out of the department
*  They've realised how big a hole I left, realised that they could have easily done something to stop this early on and did nothing and are now trying to damage control the situation by downgrading the work I did.  When I ran in to my old team at the conference I went to, my old 2IC nearly cried when she told me how they were stuffing her around and the problems that they were facing as they had not trained the staff, gotten a champion or done any of the succession planning work I'd suggested they do to minimise my impact.

Weird.
