Thanks. I'm on the record as being not so fond of jealous Jeff myself [if only because nothing real and concrete ever comes out of him showing up. Though the wishy-washy writers bear some responsibility too] But I did soften things up a little bit after the criticism of Annie being too hard on him. And originally, I had her give him a full on, one second kiss on the lips, but I thought that might be making too much of a scene and putting him on the spot too much.

Um, sorry for the spontaneous fangirling. But damn, I love that show! You could probably do an entire class on it's foreshadwoing and metaphors and paralells with fables/fairytales/ballet storylines/archetypes.

After being busy for the last few days I was finally able to read the first three chapters of this fic in one sitting. Overall, i'm not completely sold on the entire premiss. While i understand what you're trying to accomplish narratively, i'm not sure that Annie would do something like this, even with her history of going to extremes in emotional situations. (I feel a bit bad admitting this because it seems a little like i'm getting on the bandwagon. And most times i'm not comfortable giving criticism.)

I will say that of the three chapters, this one is the best one. I'm not sure if people's comments influenced the direction this fic is going in, but i liked Annie's revelation when she almost kissed Troy. And i'm curious as to how she and Jeff will go forward in the next two chapters. Because no matter what truths he might have brought up, he really was mean and nasty to her in the second chapter.
