Announcement: Summer Activities 2011
Hi everyone! The season is almost over and you know what that means: time to plan our Summer Activities!
Here is what the mods have planned so far:
+ On Friday, May 13, we will have a Friending Meme. It's been nearly a year since our "Hi, my name is..." post and we have almost doubled in size since then. This will be a great opportunity to meet other Jeff/Annie fans that have either lurked in the shadows or are still new to the comm.
+ Weekly party posts - members can openly discuss topics not related to Jeff/Annie. It's basically a free-for-all, you can post gifs, pose questions, or just act like a crazy fool (within reason--the regular no bashing/no flaming rules will still apply). We will be voting on which day of the week to hold the party post in a the next couple of days so keep a lookout for that.
+ Weekly rec posts - for all of those Jeff/Annie FF.net fanfics, YouTube videos, or fan reviews that never make it onto this comm, THIS will be the post to link it with capslock and lots of arrows declaring it a beautiful or hilarious piece of work. This will strictly be recs for things not posted to LiveJournal. Tumblr graphics will not be permitted.
+ Thursday night re-watches - we have already chosen the episodes with the most Jeff/Annie action, you just have to pull up that DVR file, break out your season 1 DVDs, or *ahem* find that copy you have on your harddrive and watch along with everyone else. It will be in chronological order and will include meta discussions, squeeful reactions, plenty of gifs, and speculations for the future.
+ Ficcy Fridays - just because there won't be new episodes doesn't mean we won't have new inspirations! Ficcy Fridays will continue as scheduled every Friday during the hiatus for all of your prompt ideas and plot bunnies.
+ Monthly vidding challenges - the theme will change from month to month and, just like in the header challenge earlier this year, the winning video will be voted on by the community at large. More details will follow but the mods are VERY excited about this event!
We are also interested to see what you members have to suggest or if you have your own event ideas that you are willing to host for us! Please comment ASAP with your feedback and suggestions, we will take everything into consideration!
