I poke my nose in the Reddit board for Community on occasion, so that's where I got this information:
There's going to be a Community cast reunion (minus Donald Glover and Chevy Chase) at the Vulture festival. Said reunion will include Chris McKenna and Dan Harmon.
Link to information here:
https://www.vulture.com/2019/10/who-will-be-at-vulture-festival-2019.html From the looks of things it's mostly a retrospective, but other people in the Reddit posting note that there seems to be a lot of movement around Community as an ongoing property. The Funko figurines, Sony announcing that they'll be shopping the series around for a big payday when the streaming contract for Hulu ends, and apparently NBC has started selling Community swag again.
So you know what that means to the ever-hopeful who reside on Reddit: MOVIE TIME!
Of course, there are also people pointing out that NBC is going to pull a CBS AllAccess and starting their own streaming service called, ummm, Peacock (because of course...makes sense with all those "the Peacock knows comedy" ads they've been showing without actually explaining what it's advertising aside from "watch NBC" while, y'know, you're WATCHING NBC).
In short, my fellow Chili Babies, we have no idea what, if anything is happening.
Me, I think it's just a retrospective and we're going to get hand-wavy about any kind of official follow-up.
So, I've presented the facts and the conspiracy theories.
I don't know if anyone is still around, but I thought I'd just post it here. Just in case.
