Annie's ACB Notebook

Round two of the Community Props I won. This one is Annie's ACB notebook from Basic Intergluteal Numismatics. Included with each of the hand written pages is a transcript of the text in case you can't or don't want to zoom in to read it yourself. I'll post some thoughts about what Annie wrote in the comments ( Read more... )

Ok so, some thoughts on this. First of all, this is a seriously detailed prop, especially when you consider that most of it was never even shown in the episode. Most of the long written text is Annie ranting about the injustice of what the ACB is doing and wondering about clues. Most of the things she wonders about with regard to clues are extremely thin, but the type of thing you'd expect from a sitcom ( ... )

I agree, theory 3 seems realistic if we go with the idea that she definitely played a part.

I'll add my 2 cents to that and say, maybe the original was Jeff? Emotionally unsatisfied in his "relationship" with Britta he seeks attention, subconsciously, from Annie? And even more maybe, he started it back up in S5...??

I guess I don't think it fits Jeff's character to do something like that. Not that's it's something that's a perfect fit for Annie by any means, but Jeff is the one that's always railing against Greendale's "insanity." And he's too lazy to be the ACB. He has to be coerced into a lot of the Study Group's activities, so I don't see him spending his free time running around dropping coins down people's butts. Plus if you read the text of the article with Annie's picture on it, it says "Annie Edison pledged to put an end to the Ass Crack Bandit's fifteen-month cracking spree." That means that the ACB began cracking people right around the time that everyone except Pierce began their first year at Greendale. In that light, I really don't think it makes sense for it to have been Jeff. Though I suppose you could argue that that article isn't canon since it wasn't shown in the show haha ( ... )

In my mind, its definitely not Jeff. As pointed out, he's too lazy and tends to dislike that kind of zaniness. As far as Annie being the ACB....idk.....she certainly could pull it off as far her intellectual capacity to do so and I suppose it somewhat fits her personality. I just don't like thinking about her being that fucking obsessed with Jeff that she would go this far.

The way Dan made it sound was that her being the ACB was about more than just wanting to hold hands in the dark with Jeff. She had these other issues going on with her sense of justice and fairness at war because she put a huge burden on herself to be a good person while other bad people got away with doing bad stuff. And then there was also her need to "sublimate" her feelings for Jeff. So maybe it's akin to when she tried to set up Troy and Britta: "And I did not push Troy and Britta together so this would happen. I did it because I thought they were cute together and this would have been a bonus."
