I also find it intriguing how Jeff says that "every man has the right to hang out with his grandson." I think that's another subtle characterisation hint that might possibly imply that Jeff is envisioning life when he's married to Annie and they have kids and grandchildren and that little line gives me feels.
I must say, I do kinda like how Jeff is completely unmoved when he "kills" the Dean by refusing to put his sword away. Maybe out of a sense of satisfaction from finally having some way to pay back the Dean for all his stalker-y behaviour towards him over the years? Notice that Jeff doesn't want the Dean near him or hugging him either, and brushes his arm away at the end.
It's possible that he still has a lot of issues with how the Dean's treated him, and I bet he regrets so much how his gaze landed on the Dean at the end of Basic Sandwich now, so I'm really interested in seeing how S6 will address that since S5 really toned down the Dean's creepy/stalker-y ness towards Jeff but still played it negatively.
Hehe, I really do love how much Jeff gets into the game once the "battle" begins. In fact, everyone does, and it's so funny. Also, both Annie and Jeff went out of the game right after each other to the point that it makes me think of a Together in Death scenario almost. Shame Annie was playing Hector again lol.
It also feels like Jeff's line at the end is referencing his reconciliation with William Winger, because beyond that gas leak year, I think he doesn't actively try to do anything with his dad. Sure, they mended those bridges and now they have an uneasy alliance with each other, but that's the best that they can do.
By the way, Jeff's line at the end about buying a real sword makes me hope that S6 might give us a Greendale Renaissance Faire concept episode with Jeff as the lord and Annie as the lady, because wouldn't that be awesome?! :D I really hope that line isn't just a throwaway, especially with the Milady/Milord exchange coming back again in Basic Sandwich and hopefully we'll hear it again in S6, too. :)
