the joy of registering a formal complaint.

A few days ago, since weeks infact the guy who lives under Liz's room (her room is next to mine) has playd very loud music. NO, u dont understand how loud, VERY!! THe floor was vibrating "domdomdomdomdomdomdodom", even in my room and in the rooms opposite us. So we went down to his room, knocked and asked him to turn it down those times where we were n essay stress. Once Katie went, once Lizz went and once I went and once we went together. Each time Ron (thats his name) said "oh i 'm so sorry" and turns it down. Once he even put a book on his subvoofer to dim the base (not that it helped at all). However, 2 hours later it was all there again. Loud music all over. And then last week. Helen, from above my room, comes down to us to complain that my music is so loud her floor was vibrating. Little did she know it was Ron... we could hear the lyrics in our whole flat, through the floor!!! "Galvanize!!... My finger is on the botton ....Push the Button...". So Helen and Caz (moral support from her flat to make me turn my apparent music down) went down to Rons room. knocking... nothing. They came up and then we consulted, they went down again - nothing. then we all (Lizz, Helen, Caz and me) went down and we hammered (!!) against his door... nothing...
what then? Lizz wanted to leave it and retrench to the library again. But I had enough, and was the most German i've been since I got here - meaning I went to the porter and complained about the music. god was i ecstatic, there is nothing better than giving an annoying guy a warning, coz thats what he'll get now. and if he ignores it, he will be fined. JOY!! (i m sooo mean...muahahahah)
