Spring Break.
Now sitting in the comp.lab,..my laptop 's still going crazy.. Some key keys 're stuck.(((
Soo spring break.. Now it seems like it was not with me,..or like it was soooo long time ago.. Classes 've already started, so no way to get deep in nostalgy, ehmmm,... Also we covered so much during a short period of 8 days, so that impressions on New York for ex. were replaced by those on Washington, and after that Denver, Colorado impressed us much, that we didnt think of Washington any more.
It was cool, a great experience for both of us,.. imagine 2 little silly)) girls travelling alone through the whole USA,..mdaaa,..there were different moments,.hmmm,..
NYC. Flight at 9 am the 3d of March. We d been told to come to the airport in advance, may be 3 hours ahead, soo,.. 3 am - i woked up, 3.45 am we took the bus, about 4.40 we were in the ChicagoInt.Airport O'Hare. Damn 4 hours ahead!!! And what happened next, guess??!!.. Ofczz we were that lucky that our flight was first cancelled, then delayed nobody knew for what time... Exactly just our flight # 497 to NewYourk LaQuardia !!! ..Weather conditions, they said,.. hmmm !!!;/
Finally we ve been put into the waiting list of passengers, and took off the holy illinois ground at 12pm. 7 hours in the airport - that's adventurous, oooh yeaaaah..
New York.... How much 's in this sound,..for dear heart splelos' )) It was always my Dream City, The City of My Dream,..)) Well, first day we came, it was a saturd., it was about 7 pm we got to our hostel "Jazz on the Park street", heavy head, sleeping-feeling, sooo tired we were, so just walked around the neighborhood a bit. (till next hispanic-indian shop to buy Ksu a lighter, heh :)), then took a shower and sleep!!! Hostel 's rather typical hostel, pretty nice place,.. though it was bloody cold all those nights, we had a room #3o1 on the 3d floor, it was an oldooold building with the old heating system, so hot water didnt raise till our 3d floor level..!! (( We slept under 2 blankets, in winter coats even.
So amazing!!.. so much youth from all over the world, talking different languages. So curious, we met guys from different parts of UK, from dif. parts of USA and from Australia, sooo differents english!!!..it was a good practise for us. And all ppl re that nice, in the same condition of a traveller. Different interesting stories we heard sitting in the underground floor in a cafe.
So next day we waked up, we walked through the Central Park. My first assiciation is HomeAlone, that child film u know. everybody saw it i bet. So, when he 's in NYC in the 2nd part.. We were trying to figure out the places he was, also saw the Hotel he stopped in the film, 1 of the worlds famous and expensive. The day was nice,.. sunny, blue sky. The typical image of Central park. Like a green paradise in the middle of urban world of skyscrapes. Well, not that green this time of a year.. I can imagine how it's gorgeous in summer or late spring. All those joggers, ppl. with dogs, little children,..ducks in the pond.. I guess it was like i always imagined it. So then we moved to the Downtown, u know, the main central "touristic" streets, 7th ave., 6 th ave., famous 5th ave. with expensive boutiques, Broadway ofczz. and ofczzz. TimesSquare. Aaaah, NYC. Wonderfull!!! The 1st day we were there, well, as well as the 2nd one, i just really coudnt still believe i got there!!! I asked Ksu to pinch me all tha way. I was just like "Aaaaah, OH-MYYY-GOOOD, i cant believe im in here,..ooooh nooooo,..its a dream!!!, tell me that its not a dream, pinch me, pinch strongeeer!!! i still cant believe!!"..))) TimesSquare - lightning, flashes, so many ppl. hurrying up everybody for its own affairs, yellow taxis, oooh yeah, 2/3 of all vehicles on the NY streets re taxis!!! Not an exaggeration!!! Remember the NYC in the "Sex and The City"??? Rather the same for me. We just were wandering around, not having any plans in our head. Got an idea to come to the EmpireState Building, 1 of the most famous and highest skyscrapers in Manhattan. The sightseeing ground is placed on the very 86 th floor!!! Ooooh its unbelievable!!! One really has to see it him/herself!!! So great photoes i made on my dear canon-cam!!!.. the views on evening NY, Manhattan, islands, pierces in lightning,.. about 200 pics. this 1st day! And all these were gone just cuase of a stupid brazil guy, who just wanted to see our photoes and erased everything by a case!!! Daaamn,.. i fell into the real hysterics... But have some photoes from Ksu's cam. They ve already downloaded on the same photoalbum.
