I haven't heard anything from this university as well. It's a very young university with about 500 students. Akita is also far away from the big cities.
However, I think it's going to be great since the university is specialised in international studies.

you know, I wrote my answer on a word file and just have to finish it! Maybe I'll add something about the WEF ^^

I've got a mail the day before yesterday, that the japanese uni needs my english certificate until april the first. That means my CAE which takes place in june won't do. I need to take the TOEFL, and I really don't know if I can do that since I have to take it in the middle of March. What if I don't score high enoug? I always sucks in english tests.

WEF = World Economic Forum
since the enviromental pollution involve the economy more and more it was ones of the top topics. Al Gore was also there

not my japanese (as if I could read anyting ... I can't even read hiragana or katagana). I need to get everything for the application and I have to write a motivatoin essay o.o I don't know if I should write that I actually want to go to japan because of my anime and manga obsession ^^°

proficiency easy? ... my teacher told me that even native english speaker need to learn for this exame.

Hehe, instead of writing that you like anime and manga you should just say that you always were very interested in Japanese culture and every day life~ *cough*

Well the 2004 proficiency exams they had online didn't seem too difficult to me o.O Sure I would need a course too, especially for the talking and "use of english" part - but the listening exam is veeery funny :D And not that difficult.
Okay, maybe that was because the first guy talked about the history of the science fiction genre, while the last guy talked about introcution of foreign plants to a country - in both topics I have a good knowledge, so of course I understood what they talked about. If they would've talked about something specific I never heard about even in German - well then I think I would've had a problem...that and I realized that I hate to listen to British English. Blergh. It's so uuugly!

lol, you need to use british english for the cambridge certificates. no american english is allowed, that's why my teacher says that the CAE might be more difficult then the TOEFL
