First of all, let me just say that I really liked Mrs. Miller a lot. Enough that I wish we'd see more of her.
2nd of all: WTH? One minute or so of Ronon time? How is that right? It's not. I'm glad we got to hear him laugh and glad he and Teyla got a few lines towards the end, but I wanted more.
About the actual episode... I liked that they started off with Jeannie and we got to see a little of her home life. I felt bad for her. I don't know if this is the 1st time we'd heard how long Rodney and her had been estranged, but 4 years is an awfully long time. It's sad that it took seeing her with Rod before he could finally admit that he wants to change their relationship. Prior to that, his focus on the Physics proof to the exclusion of showing any caring or concern about his brother-in-law and niece was very off-putting.
And Rod. Yeah, I thought he was creepy, too, but I thought it was good for Rodney to be shaken up a little. It was sweet that the team was supportive of him at the end. I wonder if they were completely sincere or if they were saying it to make him feel better. Except that I don't think Teyla and Ronon would do that.
But Teyla's hot for some new marine (maybe) and Rodney's name is Meredith! Bwah! Add that to the bedwetting and the school bullies and it's not wonder Rodney's social skills are in such poor shape.
Next week looks to be interesting and, perhaps, a more team-oriented episode.
