Insecurity

Even with different characters and/or pairings and a different theme, there's nothing like comparing yourself to someone else to make you want to slink away and hide what you've been doing.

*sighs and kicks insecurity in the nads*

'What you talking 'bout girl?'

I hope this is fandom related and not personal, because you've always struck me as very confident and 'secure'. Take my advice, and forget those negative feelings!

Oh, every once in a while, I let those negative feelings hang out. Then I tell myself to get over it and go back to having fun with what I'm doing. :-)

I can get into those moods as well, but I've made my obsession with Ronon into a remedy for those woeful thoughts and feelings. One look at him, and I just have to smile and shake my head in amazement that one guy could be so all-round wonderful! :-D

Take my advice...always have a Ronon fix close by!

Believe me, I spend a lot of "Ronon time". Everytime I think of writing an original story, I always want to include a character who's tall, dark, with dreadlocks, LOL.
After my post, I sat and wrote a little more and took peeks at my Ronon wallpaper. Definitely made me feel better.

And then I read a story that was getting lots of great feedback and I was wondering why because it wasn't that good. One character was written with pretty good characterization, but Ronon didn't seem the least bit like Ronon. *sigh*

And there was entirely too little Ronon in the last SGA. :-(
