Personally, I saw it as June never died to begin with in the incinerator, and that's how she was able to be present in the future and only disappears AFTER that if Junpei doesn't make it to the incinerator, which thus changes the past and makes it so she died then and creates a completely different future. But up until Junpei doesn't make it to the incinerator, the world behaves as if he had. That is, the point in time where Akane survived was already set in stone, but then gets moved to a different point and reality if Junpei doesn't make it to the incinerator. Does that make sense? Probably not, but neither does most of the game's logic. Also, why can't Zero be just June? Yes, she has the help of a larger organization (including Santa), but the way I understood it, Zero is one single person - June. You're right about Ice-9 though. It just seemed a little unnecessary since they already had the other stories with the rats and pictures, so why throw one in that seemed like it would be more than just a story and then have it go nowhere? Poor planning, I think. I was CERTAIN Ice-9 itself was goint to be a part of the larger plot and the explanation for why the Nonary Game was happening again.

Do you happen to remember anywhere where June was being manipulative? Maybe I'd catch it if I replayed the game, but to me I honestly didn't see her actions as suspicious. But maybe I just missed it because I wrote her off as innocent right away and then didn't pay close attention to the things she said.

Anyway, it was a fun game, thoguh it could have been better. Can't wait for the sequel/anything by any of the creators of the Infinity series, but in the meantime I think I'll play F/S N and Steins;Gate
