I’m sad that my life in Rio is going to come to an end in less than a month. SOOOO SADDDDDDD WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Anyway, I went to Centro with Sara today to look for the open market. But no, it was empty as usual in the weekend-and very dangerous. But nothing happened to us. We took a taxi to Ipanema.
We ordered food by the beach for R$20 and it was horrible. So expensive and horrible. But it was nice to sit by the beach to eat. It was cold though. And very windy.
We walked to the Hippie Fair down the street. I bought a print for R$40 and a painting for the same price. I need to go back to buy myself a HUGE painting. I’m going to do it. It’s so cheap! The most expensive painting I have quoted so far was R$250 for a MASSIVE one. So awesome!
I also bumped into Anton, who I met at the hostel in Santiago, Chile. SMALLL WORLLDDDD!!! If you ever need a place to stay in Santiago, stay in La Chimba hostel. It’s the place where you’ll meet people you will meet again during your travels. I had also bumped into a German couple who I met there at the Cuzco airport too (or was it the Lima airport?). I also met Tati & Renata (Cariocas) there too! iofnsjkdfnskdjf
Okay, so we desperately needed to use the restroom, so we ran to find a place. We ended up at a suco place. We used the restroom and ordered some sucos. Mmm I had an acerola suco.
We headed back home. On our walk back to the Siquera Campos station, we conversed in Portuguese. It was fun and educational. It was a very long walk though.
When we got off the Gloria station, we took the Moto Taxi to Largo do Guimaraes. I LOOOVE taking the Moto Taxi!! It’s so fun to ride a motorcycle for only R$2!!! I don’t understand why other volunteers are so scared of it-it’s soooo muchhh funn!!!! We stopped by Adam & Suze’s place, but they were sleeping. We headed back home.
