Day 1: Tuesday, 5th Sept
Flight was in the early morning so had to head on over the Monday night to the airport. Head on to check-in then had some food at KFC before heading to enter the boarding area. Dad needed some coffee as it was at night and dad will need to drive back home so he needs something to keep him awake. We pray that he will get home safely.
Since we had plenty of time to spend at the airport, we really slack around but of course we had to collect our WIFI, this one works well this time around. Once we board, I tried to stay awake by watching a movie but was too tired and went to sleep. As usual, it was hard. Woke up for breakfast and it was a nice one but there were things that I seriously wish they stop putting in my meals. However have to be glad that there was no screw up and we had our meal.
Landed safely at Haneda, thankfully. Went to the toilet to freshen up, went through customs and then head on over to buy our limo bus tickets. It took us about 1 hour plus to reach our hotel. Since it wasn't time to check in yet, we left our bags there and went to shop around.
It was a hotel that we are new to so had to find our way around and we ended up getting lost but found out about a few things we didn't know about Ikebukuro.
This time around we went for collaboration cafes, the first one is AiChu collaboration with Princess Cafe. Ate and drink while we rested after the walk around and shopping. Then we went for more shopping and went to Namja Town for another collaboration, Stand My Hero. Ikebukuro station was also decorated with Stand My Hero posters so took pictures of those. Love these ikemens.
Got lost trying to get back to the hotel but manage to find it and check in and rushed back to the other side for Animate Cafe collaboration with Pri Para. This was our dinner. YUM.
Back to the hotel after that to rest for the day.
Day 2: Wednesday, 6th Sept
It's the day of the AICHU THE STAGE. Didn't manage to get the tickets via machines so needed to wait outside the theater for any day sales of the tickets. Managed to get 2 and those 2 seats are awesome seats.
But before the stage show, we went shopping at Shibuya. This time round, didn't really have much to buy. My fav pairing is getting less and less love. Sigh. At 109 we went to find the brand for Naomi Watanabe as she has sizes for the plus size people like me but I kinda regret not buying anything. The next time we got there I shall buy. Like really buy. They have nice clothes and the size is really for me. (puts in wish list) We went back to Ikebukuro once we are done with Shibuya but not before eating crepe and drinking bubble tea there. The crepe had a seasonal menu, sweet potatoes and it was delicious.
Back at Ikebukuro, since we had time, we went shopping for things that we couldn't before. Once we are done, we head back to the hotel to put our shopping bags down. Then we head over to the theater to wait for the day sale. Once we got our tickets, we queue to get in and then we bought our goods. Bought a lot but it was a lifetime chance for me so I bought as much as I could so that I won't regret it later on like the Punyus clothes.
The door opens and we enter the theater, our seats were really good and at the end of it we managed to high touch quite a number of actors but I am just overjoyed that I could high touch my fav one. Swoons. Happy and satisfied went back to the hotel to rest.
Day 3: Thursday, 7th Sept
Woke up early to pack since we came back quite late the night before. After breakfast, went out to Machida. On our way, we met a man who is half Japanese and half blind. He was asking me about his ticket and I tried to help as best as I could. Then he realized that I wasn't Japanese and then we talked in bits of English and Japanese. He was so nice. It warms your heart to meet such people during your journey. He even gave us a coupon for a shop, so nice of him. We said our goodbye and we thank him before heading to the shop my sis wanted to go. But guess what, there was a electrical fault at the department store and so we couldn't go to the shop. End up, we went to get some food at the depachika.
Then we head on to Shinjuku for another collaboration cafe, Vatican. Shopping around the area again before heading over to Akibahara for more shopping and another collaboration cafe, My Hero Academy. Then after all that went back to the hotel to rest.
Day 4: Friday, 8th Sept
A more relaxing day as we went out later and went for brunch at sweets paradise for Dream Fest collaboration. Had trouble here since we were not aware of the rules. Oopps. But hopefully they won't remember us since we are not local but maybe that will make them remember us even more. Oh well. It was over and done with since we corrected what we did wrong. Then we went around for last shopping at Ikebukuro.
Then we went back to the hotel but the cleaners were not done with our room yet. Oh no. We were so sorry about that. We relax a bit before heading back out to Yokohama for the one of a kind theater. VR theater for Dream Fest. It was awesome and at the end of it, two of the CVs came out to greet us. But our seats were so at the back that it was kinda hard to see them. Overall a good experience.
Day 5: Saturday, 9th Sept
The day we need to fly back to SG. Our flight is in the evening so we can afford to slack off a bit. We did our packing while eating breakfast. Then we slack while we wait to go down for the limo bus to Narita Airport.
It was 2 hours of journey to Narita and once we are there we went to find the weighing machine since we do not want any trouble at check-in counter like the previous time. Once we confirmed that our bags are ok, we went to find some seats to slack. Ate ice-cream while waiting for check-in. Once we check-in, we went to find restaurant to have a good meal. We found a good one that is halal and wow did we eat. It was so nice.
After the good meal, head over to boarding area and waited for boarding. Landed safely in SG early the next morning. Thankful and glad.
Now I can't wait for the next trip. Praying to be safe till we go and safely come back.
