Unexpectedly stumbled on yet another
new Kindaichi special, which I was super-excited about! They kept the same actor from last time, and he is still my favourite because he manages to strike the right balance of idiot-pervert and perpetual good-human-being/sympathetic detective, though it wasn't quite as much on display this time. The case itself was okay, I think my exposure to Kindaichi has been so great that I've either gotten used to the tricks/twists, or the TV show is just getting to be more OBVIOUS CLUE HERE, because I'm not used to getting so many things right about how these murders were carried out! But I think will always love this series because it is so ignored in the "Western world" and so it's almost impossible to find any new-ish (from 2007 onwards) material translated into English. Every bit of new content that I can get makes me irrationally happy ;o;
In any case, this is me hoping that this last special was popular enough that they'll just decide to give this new kid a whole series so I can get my Kindaichi-fix again :(
PS: Only two-ish weeks to new Orphan Black episodes, AHHH CANNOT WAIT!!! Especially for musical!theatre!Alison, it is going to be fabulous.
