WTF?

What the hell kind of store has a great relationship with a customer for years, to the point where that customer moves across the country and still continues to do business with them even though it would be easier and cheaper to order direct from the manufacturers online... and then just stops returning the customer's phone calls ( Read more... )

We live 4000 miles away now ._.;;; It'd be like taking a road trip to New York from L.A. Even to get the dragon back, we can't exactly do it.

That's probably our next step. Assuming they'll have any better luck than we have.

It was even harder than it lookes. TW loves to do patterns that have one stitch of a colour here, then another stitch over there, and another one three rows over...

Plus she almost never uses just one colour, it's always blended with two or more threads, which makes it harder to anchor. AND half of it has kreinik blending threads mixed in. Then you add in the complicated backstitching, and the million and one tiny little beads...

Yeah. Hardest pattern I've ever done or ever will do. But DAMN did it ever look good.

Wish you'd let me know sooner! There's a ham radio convention in Guelph that Jack and I have gone to and it wouldn't take much twisting of his arm to get him there again.

Bear in mind, though, we have had some spectacularly crappy weather in this end of the world lately and it's entire possible her phone went *krphp!*

Okay, that might explain today. Though it would be one HELL of a coincidence... especially since the thing is ringing and I AM getting her answering machine.

But what about the other nine months? She's had plenty of chances to call me back.

If you ever are up in that area let me know, maybe I'll send you armed for bear. *sweatdrops*

LOL! Not a problem! I envy people who can needlepoint and have it actually look like something.

christ on a crutch that sucks. I hope that you are able to get your stuff back. I'm a stitcher myself, but I've never even dared to attempt some of Teresa Wentzler's patterns.

We sort of fell into it by accident... just experienced enough that we were looking for something a little more challenging than the Dimensions patterns, and just inexperienced enough that we had NO idea what we were getting into. I got through the front half of the dragon before I gave up, then Jess picked it up and did the rest of the dragon plus the majority of the border, then I grabbed it again and finished the border, did the backstitching and beading.

SO MUCH WORK. And it looked SO gorgeous. I'm never, ever doing another TW pattern again. *sweatdrops*
