why are there so many people named mikko/miko/mico? i mean in the first place it's not even a "real" name like michael or tom or mark. for some unexplainable reason, though, i'd say about a third of filipino parents with male children decided to bestow it upon their children. in my block alone there's 3 of us! ang hassle brooo. i think parents should learn to be more creative. people should start naming their children lelandra or ebaum or snackaroo or vandersexx. that way if someone mentions a person's name, everyone knows who they're talking about. no one should ever have to experience the unnerving sensation of calling someone else by your own name. and while we're at it, what's up with people with names that take a whole minute to pronounce? i.e. "anna maria esmerelda luisita corinna carmencita helen joyce divine garcia". it's not like anyone is ever going to call these people by their full names, especially if they take that much effort to pronounce. moreover, it's a waste of ink and energy whenever these people have to write down their names. diba?
