So it has been a long time coming but finally I am updating my journal.. Thunderous applause all round!!
So what has been happening??
Well, you know the lovely wedding that I spoke about in one of my last entries.. Lovely wedding, great couple until the bride turned around two weeks after the wedding and decided that she didn't want to be married anymore!?!?! I am not really sure what that is all about?? How can you be living with someone for years and then turn around TWO weeks after wedding and say ummmm I don't wanna anymore? Aren't we all supposed to be a little more mentally and emotionally evolved than this by now?? Of course there is more to it but this is not the place for it..
Movin' on...
We brought Mattee's stepfathers 1997 ford falcon for $4 000. The escape that I want to buy is supposed to be coming out in a new more fuel economical model in 2007 and it was recommended by one of my friends father in laws that we don't by the first years model until they get rid of the bugs from it. The ford is great and goes well.. just takes the pressure of buying a car that may not be what we might have wanted. It is nice to have a car again and have a bit more freedom.
Movin' on...
Got a phone call from Mattee last Tuesday.. he was unable to speak other than to mumble fairly in coherently that he was on the ground at home unable to get up. I teleported out of the office to arrive home in five minutes, literally don't remember how I got to the car, found him lying on the ground thinking to myself "he's had a stroke". Did a quick neurological assessment on him, tested his mobility, dressed him and had him back at work at the Emergency department within 20 minutes. Of course they made us wait in line for about 20 minutes (there was nobody else in line, they needed to stand around gossiping and laughing, I could feeling "Attitude" possessing me by the second). They then made me wait outside while he was being assessed (I was very very tempted to sneak around the back with my uber staff pass, but I played the game). I waited about 30 minutes before I had enough, summoned my air of "authority" and "attitude" walked up to the counter ready to let rip, when around the corner came someone that knew me and let me in. The poor nurse looking after Mattee told him when I ducked out of the bed bay that she was nervous when I was there. Of me, HA I am sweet and demure, well usually just don't get in my way especially when it someone that I love or care about |;-). Mattee was in DEM for about five and half hours, getting progressively better, to be told that they "thought" that it was the nerve behind his middle ear that was inflamed. If it happens again come back and we will do a CT of the head. Thankfully it has not happened again!! Though I am keeping a close eye on him.
And finally... we are looking after Mattee's nephew Seth today and tonight so that his mother can go and meet some guy that she has been texting down on the Gold Coast. Seth is a good kid. Anyway I had better go and help Mattee..
Oh and I have read that one of my friends on my journal, he seems like a nice guy from his journal |:-0, in the states in in hospital so I am sending healing thoughts, love and light and hugs to him. Hopefully it will help him to a speedy recovery.. fell better soon
