They killed the Korean man today. There were talks about extending his deadline. When I read that I thought it sounded too good to be true. Why would they budge? I know that it can be disputed in a million ways and in they end I may very well be removed from this thought. But somehow I still feel we do have a valid reason to be there. There are people there who need us. And I do believe in helping those who desperately need it. I have never been a war seeker, but I have always been one to serve it to a bully. It may be wrong but I do want to see what can be done to try and influence a culture that would smash a woman?s face for driving a car, and kill their own willingly, even voluntarily to make their point and would kill relentlessly to make a point. There are many things I don't think I will ever understand in this world. Religious wars, Racists, Denominations, John Denver fans...*grin* But I do genuinely hope that this world we be a better place. I very much felt that while I was in the military that it was no longer an honorable place to be. I would have honestly felt like a war hero had I returned from WWII. I felt that was justified. And though it does not make even the slightest equivalent, I do feel that these insurrections we do in places like Saudi can prevent another Hitler from coming into power. It was letting them try to sort things out for themselves that allowed that to get completely out of control, had the U.S acted sooner we might have saved alot more lives, *grin* not to mention probably avoided the depression. It is just a sad state of affairs that modern day warfare no longer seems noble or ever for the right cause. But I have blathered enough for now.
