Spring has not quite yet sprung
So last Sunday, John and I went to Dixon to see his family for Easter Brunch. It's not a long drive, as Dixon is only about 100 miles outside of Chicago. That being said, when you factor in traffic, waiting for a group of 15-20 to arrive along with standard Easter brunch delays, queues of people waiting for food... it was a 9 to 5 trip to get there, eat, and come back. I still loved it, John's got a great family and its always good to see them.
I snapped the above picture as we started our drive home. I'm really looking forward to Spring arriving soon, but there's something very peaceful about the gray, quiet time as Winter recedes but before we get to blooming floors.
