I always get a little sad after Labor Day; the "unofficial" end of summer means nothing really, but I still get a sense that "fun" time is over. Which is weird, because I actually like autumn more than summer

it's funny to me that things "slow down" for you as summer ends, but you still end up doing more than most people I know. I have a feeling for us, things will be busier socially as we are heading out of this crazy summer we have had.
I am always telling John we do too much stuff. Although I'm the loud one, I'm actually the secret introvert. John's the secret extrovert. I am more than happy to stay in five nights a week, but John always wants to go out, even if its just the two of us for dinner down the street. It causes problems sometimes, because my work hours are a bit longer than his, and I can't do some of my job functions (such as writing) on low sleep. We make it work; but I'm always telling him we need to hit the brakes.
I so understand your comments. Donald and I are always doing something social on weekends, and if we're not, we're doing home improvement projects or cleaning house.
