migraines and cooking

vegas was super fun. we ate at nobu (delicious) and lounged by the pool. with the exception of no sleep on saturday night and not getting our suite with the jacuzzi, i must say that the trip was awesome.

i met some fellow migraine sufferers too. luckily, they like naps too so my desire to nap didn't stand out. fyi, i tend to nap a lot when i'm on vacation. it's probably to make up for sleep loss during regularly work days. but trust me, if you get migraines, you'd want to nap too!

speaking of migraines, i have been getting a lot of them lately (probably due to stress and lack of sleep). luckily, my doctor hooked me up with triptan and nausea medicine (yay)! if the triptan works, i should tell my "migraine support group" about it.

a few weeks ago, i made bun rieu (vermicelli noodle soup with crab and shrimp paste) for the first time. my sister's recipe worked like a charm. unfortunately, the recipe could also serve 8 people. needless to say, it was bun rieu at lunch/dinner for the entire week. oh well, maybe i should invite people over next time.

here's a picture. i'm so proud :)
