A sketch a day...
I've been collecting sketches from comic book conventions for about ten years now. I've shared the images with people every now and then...but never in a large forum. In an effort to get me blogging more, I thought I'd start posting a sketch a day. Just a quick post of the art with the story behind how I got it, etc.
Here's the first one:
This first piece was a birthday gift. My friend, Sina Grace, contacted Aspen artist Marcus To and asked him to do Zatanna for my birthday.
Sina knew that I was a fan of Marcus' work. Combine that with Zatanna being one of my favorite female characters, and you have this amazing birthday treat. The original is now framed and on display at my apartment! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
