Hmmm...

I think I need to cultivate a regular Beta to help proof my stories and bounce ideas off of. So....my question is this: anyone know a good way to find a beta?

Or better yet, any volunteers?

That's alpha-reading as well as betaing? I can do that for SPN, if you don't mind a certainly mutuality of idea-bouncing.

Oh that would be totally awesome. I'm more than happy to help you out too.

Okay.

I have to tell you, I'm kind of stuck right now. Too many ideas, not enough energy.

Choose one of the plotbunnies, or help me figure out what the heck to do with Dean? I think I can write him in the Ostrich fic best, because an obnoxious and misogynistc teenager is just a young idiot -- when he's in his 30s, it's a lot more off-putting.

I like "The Man Comes Around" plot the best personally. The description is enough to make me want to read it, but if you're more comfortable with Ostrich fic then lets go that way.

My problem is finishing up my one run away plot bunny(Selah) while I'm trying to get a handle on my Alien/SPN idea. There are alot of options and I'm having a hard time deciding what sort of stuff to include plotwise.

I think the Ostrich fic is going to win tonight. MAN has problems, including a Dean who is more emotionally healthy, aware, and open than ever in canon. :sigh:

What's your block with Selah? It looked like you were nearing the endgame last I recall.

And I like the Alien/SPN ideas. That's going to be more episodic, yes?

Well darn, can't have an emotionally healthy Winchester. That just won't fly. *wink* Maybe when you have more energy we can toss around some ideas for that. So what's the big on Ostrich?

Selah is just dragging in regards to finishing up the flock bonds. Mostly the Sam/Gabe one, I'm still trying to figure out how I want to present that one. Gabe/Cas was easy because it was family and Gabe and Dean are so similar. I dunno. I'm almost done with this chapter and I still haven't got closer to finishing and that's kinda frustrating me.

The Aliens one is going to shift perspective alot. I'm modeling it off the Alien books and Graphic Novels. You never get the complete story until you string them all together but each of the characters points of view can stand alone.

I'm pretty much a close canon writer, and Dean who realizes that a sexual relationship with Cas could be skanky when he's in an ensouled Vessel is just not something I can see Dean *being* in canon. Righteous Man he might be, but emotionally aware he is not.

Well, what do you think the Sam/Gabe is mostly like? Is it sexual at all, or mostly parental or fraternal?

I've only seen one or two of the GNs for Aliens, so I suspect you'll have to tell me more.

BTW, do you have GoogleChat enabled? I can chat that way, if it would be easier for you.

I can get Googlechat if I need to but MSN is my normal poison of choice. I think this would go smoother in chat format but that's just me.
