(no subject)
a quick update
the latest is, i was in hospital last week for 3 days to have plastic surgery on my hand. basiclly 2 men in my work refused to leave after they were knocked back for being too drunk, so instead they threw glasses at Alan and i, as you do. the wee one came behind the bar and took a couple of swings at me , but i knocked him to the ground a few times but he got up and broke a glass and tried to stab me in the stomach. i deflected it with my left hand and was stabbed in the thumb, i then broke a glass over his head and restrained him. meanwhile stuart who also works there was getting attacked by the other guy, and Alan was on the phone to the police. all very crazy, and when the woman that was with them suddenly realised that her 2 friends were getting their ass's kicked she got them to leave.
the police are still looking for them and keen to get them, as the Bow Bar is the local pub for the police, lawyers and judges. so im now off work for 6 weeks, and not able to do much, even typing this is difficult.
a while ago i took part in a 24 hour swordathon to raise money for children in need. i joined in the fun straight after work so i managed to fight over 21hrs. you can browse at the photos here

my last post was before i was in Rome. so a quick update there, well i had a bad start when i arrived. my taxi driver drove for an hour, ignoring red lights, ignoring my instructions then tried to charge me 280euros. i gave him 160 but he switched a 50 into a 10 so i gave him another 50. so despite being robbed, i still enjoyed myself. steve and i worked our way through some 12hr days of fencing, then enjoyed the roman hospitality. i decided to stay on and see a bit of Rome, so i will post some pictures of that
