with a little twist of event, i was resting at home yesterday instead of today. so i digged my fridge for the ingredients tat are suitable for the white fungus lotus seed broth tong shui. and guess wat i found, white fungus, ginkgo nut, lotus seed, dry lily bulb, red dates, longan and the rock sugar....
so i soaked the white fungus for half an hour, to get rid that smell. then boiled it for one hour, before i start to add in other ingredients. in total i boiled everything for 2 1/2 hours. but sad to say this, everything turned out well except tat the soup wasnt thick as i have expected. so i mah went out shopping (acherly i went to jogging first before drop by tesco) for the corn flour to thicken the soup
and no... before i get the consistency (thickness) tat i wanted, the soup already became cloudy abit.... eikkksss, thats not wat i prefer, i want something clear, so i stopped adding the flour, and yeah its not as thick as the one sold by poonkee.
anyway when everything was done, after i finished everything and have time to indulge the soup, it was already 2am this morning liao, dunno iss it bcoz of i was too tired with the house chores and everything, the soup tasted so nice le kekeeee... dunno is it bias or what. but it was already 2am liao, so i cant really take tat much lor, have to keep in the fridge, imagine i cook a big big pot and only managed to finish one bowl.
so this morning before i leave the house, i took from fridge another bowl, and yes it tasted even better when its cold :) later tonite probably will dropby suchan and get a piece of cake, then have double pleasure at home :P (no wonder my pant bcome tighter now :P)
