Apparently there is a chance that my dad had a mini-stroke recently while my mom was away. He is definitely not himself right now. And, because my dad is the kind of guy who only goes to the doctor when forced, this means that the delay is getting treatment (assuming it was a stroke, and the symptoms do seem to suggest it was) creates a very big risk that he will have a major stroke in the future.
Fuck.
