It is the first day of semester *sigh* ; this means undergrads looking lost wandering around the campus - hordes of them blocking up halls and doorways.
My building has a line of four doors on the entry floor. One of them is automatic for those in need, so you push the button and hte door opens. Dozens of students waiting and pushing to get through the automatic door, while I walk to one of the other three and open it by hand and walk through.
Our best and brightest ;-)
I had a quieter weekend - until Sunday. My Croatian was back in port for the last time - the cruise season is over in NZ for his company, and he's transferring to another route next contract. It was a little bitter-sweet.
I picked him up from the docks at 10:30. We did some shopping, had some food, then back home by midday. I dropped him off again at 8:30. I am shattered.
But in a good way.
The stories from the earthquake in Christchurch continue - it will be a very different city after this, that's for sure.
