From the dead...by me

I have so much emotion
Do I put it in the eaves of the houses
In the trees, the dew-lined bushes
Do I squander it on pink, brush-stroked skies
In the smile hung crooked on the mouth of that child

I have so much emotion
Do I leave it in the coffee grounds
The browns and frothy whites
Do I capture it with a fork
Held between the prongs where a friend's laugh sits

I have so much emotion
Can I give it to you
Can you take it and let it share your pocket
With the smoothed out penny and thoughts to keep the rain company

Can I give it to you
To lay on your pillow
And blink hello to every morning

Can I give it to you
These days and minutes inside my head

Can I give it to you...

...Will you give them away
