I just finished watching the first episode of "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", which airs a day early here in Canada. I am floored. Moved. Awoken.
That was an absolutely brilliant hour of network television. Everything from the writing to the characters to everything about the unleashed, complex, feminist, sharp, mind-blowingly phenomenal episode made me proud to love television. If this show doesn't get the critical and ratings success it deserves, I will lose all hope in the intelligence of the modern audience.
It makes me want to create. Anything. Everything. It makes me want to become a person who could one day write the life-altering greatness I just saw.
Please. PLEASE. Tomorrow night on NBC at 10:00 watch. I hope that you'll see even half of the amazingness that I did. In fact, I know you will.
Count me glued to the television every Monday.
