Best-of-five finals between Detroit Shock and San Antonio Silver Stars.

The hours kind of suck, since 7.30PM EST means 1.30AM for me, and a game lasts about 2 hours. 3.30AM sounds good to me, but not so much to my family. Anyway, since the games are on ESPN2, I can't watch them. All I can do is listen to the game. If I can't do that, all I have is the short recap and the score. I seriously hate time-zones. And ESPN2 for not allowing me to watch the game.

Game 1: Wed 1: Detroit @ San Antonio: 77-69 *grins*
Game 2: Fri 2: Detroit @ San Antonio: 69-61 *even bigger grin*
Game 3: Sun 5: San Antonio @ Detroit: 60-76 *omfg, it's over!*

Game 4: Mon 6: San Antonio @ Detroit: 7.30PM EST (if necessary)
Game 5: Thu 9: Detroit @ San Antonio: 7.30PM EST (if necessary)

Despite San Antonio's Home court advantage, Detroit won the first game. I suppose I wouldn't mind too much if San Antonio ends up winning the finals, cause I like that team too, but my support goes to Detroit. They're still my #1 team. Recap of the game here: Game 1, and just for fun, postgame presser: Deanna Nolan and courtside interviews after game 1: Katie Smith and Deanna Nolan. You know, I don't think Nolan likes doing these things, cause her voice sounds kinda shaky and she just looks like she wants to be anywhere but there. I know the feeling....

Edit: Oh oh! Detroit took the 2nd game too! I am so... listening... to the 3rd game. It could be over then already! 10.30PM to 12.30AM is much better. Man I wish I could see these games and not just the recap. *sulks* Speaking of it: recap of the game here: Game 2, interviews are postgame pressers with Katie Smith and Kara Braxton and Becky Hammon. Considering Hammon plays for the Silver Stars, it's kind of depressing. You feel like hugging her (cause she's rather cute), if you  weren't too scared of those impressive muscles smacking you....

Edit2: Oh wow. It's over! For the first time in WNBA history, a team won the finals with 3 games in a row! Detroit wins the title for the 3rd time. San Antonio actually had the lead for a good part of the game, but in the end, Detroit just overran them. Awesome game. Recap of the game here: Game 3 and postgame pressers with San Antonio's Ann Wauters (she's Belgian, by the way :p) and the Detroit's Katie Smith and Deanna Nolan
