umber and celdaon; burgundy-black:
Iron sky on a steel track
the banner twilight almost hung,
a sugarcane-crimson sliver of sun
puts that raspberry amethyst last ray of light
on a girl
it is much later now, the sky is blacker than lightning
the only color at all is sterling frost: a light on the lines
because here it comes now, the firecracker feast;
the force that connected the west to the east
and all she can hear over falling rain
is the trying tires of a whistling train
