Ok, so today, I woke up late (wonderful...I love that feeling where you wake up, notice that it's early in the morning and you DON'T need to get out of your warm bed...)...then I ate spaghettios, watched some television, and went off to work at Stop And Shop for 6 hours (3-9)...and wow, some of the customers were extreme assholes today. Off course there was the normal crowd of nice people who enjoy small talk, compliment me and my co-workers, and actually HELP us bag with a smile...but, for some reason today, there were just some pissed off men (yes, men...most of the gals are nice for some reason...even the really old ones who complain and don't bag). One guy threw a fit and started screaming at me because an item he wanted wasn't on sale...yeah; that's it...curse out the cashier to get what you want...pfft...It would be great if workers got 3 "throwables" a day to chuck at unruley customers' heads...that would be great fun :)
Anyways, on a side note; I'm working again tomorrow (sunday) from 1:30-6:30...so someone please visit me :'( I get so friggin lonely at work, especially when they send me to one of the higher marked cash registers...I end up being totally isolated from everyone else, and my lines are the biggest...and most of the people on that quota are old...not that I have anything against senior citizens, but they always expect you to do all the bagging work, even when they're young enough to help you, and the line of complaining, angry angry people is getting longer by the second....hmmph.
As for school (which seems to be going by a bit too quickly this year...or too slowly; it depends on how I'm feeling), once again this semester, the few classes I took that should have been extremely interesting have ended up sucking...well, this semester that's really only one class...first period forensics...it's interesting and all, but the teacher's a bit of a bore, and there's a lot of unnecessary work from a text book that's very...by the numbers.
As for my other classes, second period I have off (which I spend either studying or doing hw in the social studies resource center; definitely my favorite room in the building), third I have off every other day (I spend my time in the ss resource cntr then too :) ) and every other day I now have gym with janasko and keenan, who are assholes that play favorites with the jackasses of the large group of students, and spend time sitting on there asses screaming uneducated remarks at the rest of us who don't give much of a **** about the class....
Fourth period I have english; in which we're now watching "Pride And Prejudice," not a terrible movie, but yes, a terrible terrible book by the overrated Jane Austen. Actually, my average in that class went down to a 91 mostly due to the fact that all my essays of the quarter were about how much I hated that book...fancy that ;) 5th period I have gym (first time in the last 4 years I have'nt had it 6th period...) with a bunch of my friends...it's funny...and sometimes scary (you should try eating with Leibstein talking about the crudest things from across the table).
Sixth period I have government; probably MY FAVORITE class of the entire year. Kalner's a great teacher (probably the best I've ever had, and the nicest), the subject is really interesting, the class is smart and enthusiastic (for once...probably because it's AP), a bunch of my friends are in the class; and most of all, it's hilarious and fun. Besides, it's nice to talk and laugh about something intelligent, with intelligent people for a change...wow; I need new friends...lol, jk on that last comment.
Seventh period I have photoshop - photography. Ms. Nigro's a cool teacher; but I can't help but feel a bit callous over the class as we're learning everything that I've already taught myself over the past 3 years...to tell you the truth, I think that I'm even more advanced in the program than most of the photoshop-advanced kids o.O (Even if they're not wonderful in the program, their work is still wonderful IMO; I don't think I'll ever be as good a a photographer as people like Christina, Ashley, or Katie)
Eighth, I have film study...in which we...watch films...and write. I'm probably the largest movie buff some of you will ever talk to (tied with people like Jen Hecker, and Jarrett D. of course ;) ) and I still think the class is boring. We're watching great movies (right now, it's groundhog day); but for some reason, everything, including the movie just seems less interesting then drying paint to me...this is most likely due to the fact that Mr. Fennimore is like that teacher from "Ferris Bueller's Day Off"...( "Bueller...?" "Bueller?") ugh...there's nothing like a Ben Stein teaching the class to empty your head for 45 minutes. He is a nice guy though, I'll give him that...I just don't see the point in lecturing students on IMDB.COM for two days...isn't that just a bit unnecessary?
Ninth period I have creative writing two with O'Connell. I'm going to say all nice things about her, or nothing at all because she may end up reading this... (she wants us to do life-journals for class...which everyone decided would be better online...). Anyways, we got to make our own syllabuses for the course, in which we work on one particular piece of work for the whole semester. Mine, of course, is a screenplay...It's Drama/Horror...if you care.
Ok, so you've listened to...or read my rant about life for about a minute or two, now let's all do something productive...umm...do the hustle!.....no?...ok then...
...So, if you're not going to unwillingly dance for me, then at least fight with me about the State Of The Union Address given 2 days ago. I, for one, agree with the social security reform, but disagree with some of the ideas being thrown in there to bring out that reform. On other matters, such as economics and foreign affairs, I'm half with Bush half against. For example, I believe that we should stay a bit longer in Iraq to help them, paridoxely, become less dependent on us, and to stop the insurgency in the country; but, at the same time, I don't think we should stay there for too long, and that there should be some sort of time table for an exit. Also, I don't believe that the government's plans for domestic gov't spending cuts are going to "cut the deficit in half..."...actually, I think that it would be more likely that money would just start to grow on US only trees. <- LOOK! I made a bad joke, yay!...As for moral issues, such as gay and abortion rights, I'm a liberal; As for foreign affairs, I'm mostly a mixture of the two (I'm in favor of high amounts of domestic security; but I'm also in favor of diplomacy at the moment; not war). As for things like devolution; (such as the fore-mentionted social security change), I'm a bit more conservative as I believe that things like this will actually increase the power of the people in the long run (Think about it; even if the rich are getting the most dough through stock and investments, inversely, the dependency on the government is starting to fade, and people will learn, gradually, how to save up their funds for retirement on their own. It's not necessarily power; but it's an influence on people to become less lazy).
Ok; there are my views; Now tell me yours, and scream at me and curse all you want! I'm in the mood for a late night debate! wooooo
