One of a very few of a kind

Yay!

i got my Death Cab for Cutie cd (We Have the Facts and We're Voting Yes) and my Of Montreal cd (The Bedside Drama: A Petite Tragedy) they are both veryyyyyyyyyyyy good but right now i havent been able to take the Of Montreal cd off repeat. the first time i heard the songs i was like, eh? but about the 3rd listen i was absolutely hooked. its always that way with them it seems, but when i love one of their songs i LOVE it!

Right.
I spent my afternoon first helping 1st graders read and listen to them talk...its really quite one of the most amazing ways to spend time. Then we all made these string bookworm thingies.
I felt quite strange the other day, about a few weeks ago when a little girl was talking to me, we were watching something about divorce or something, and she went "sometimes i think my parents are going to get divorced, they're always fighting." faced with this i was silent for a minute before answering, "well, sometimes people who love each other still fight, i wouldnt worry too much about it, okay?". i dont know, i dont think i could be a teacher because i'd lose my patience with the annoying ones but the ones that are talkative and creative are amazing.

Now that i've rambled away for a paragraph about kids and stuff, i'll talk about...er, music i guess.

I wrote a pretty good song yesterday. the first part of the chords and melody are from an old song, i reworked the melody(now that i can sorta sing) and kinda knocked out some *very* throwaway lyrics, like
I've got my hopes I've got my dreams
I've got everything in between

and further like that. i need a decent chorus:: i have chorus writing issues! maybe ill never have chorusses and just be weird. or maybe ill be hit by the magic rock of ChorusWriting Inspiration. Which, if not deadly, could be helpful!

i am currently not speaking to julia but for altogether different reasons from the last time i wasnt speaking to her.
the artbook they've got is very interesting... they say i've never seen hentai so i cannot distinguish hentai from anime and i wouldn't disagree with you, i'm absolutely clueless.
but i really want to watch twilight of the cockroaches.

im going to have a mad crazy weekend, in total i have to write about 12 pages of essays and i havent STARTED any at all. oops!

STill listening to Of Montreal...this is truly beautiful music. They're so amazingly talented, i can only bow in deference =)
