Ask and you shall receive! But in a toooottally twisted way haha. You'll understand in a minute. Let's let the suspense build ;).
Last night I got this e-mail that said it was from the Northwestern e-mail administrator. It said that if I didn't click on this one link that my e-mail account would be suspended in 24 hours for security purposes. I didn't do it at first, thinking it was some kind of scam, but I got the e-mail again this morning, so I did it. It gave me a virus! So I spent like 4 hours on the phone with my dad trying to fix it. It was quite complicated! Even going so far as to partially corrupt my system restore files! I tried a bunch of crazy stuff involving Spybot, but finally had to resort to using system restore while in safe mode. Jeezus that was crazy haha. So I guess that cured my boredom for a while, something I had *asked* for =P.
I wish I had a digital camera so that I could take pictures of all the crazy people that I'm meeting to show you guys. That and it's absolutely beautiful here. All I have is an old disposable one, but I don't have a scanner here and I don't know where I could go to get film developed anyway so it's kind of useless hehe.
Hahahahaha, my chem class is the biggest joke ever. Today the professor did two random problems from our homework and then proceeded to show us a completely random PowerPoint that he had created on nanotechnology. I remind you that this is general chemistry, chem 101. Our homework was on unit analysis and significant figures. And yet he shows us how nanotechnology is used in making tennis rackets. And it gets better. After this little escapade he brings out his sidekick (some fat guy with chemicals and a crazy accent) who proceeds to put on techno music and create some kind of solution that would continue oscillate between being royal blue and a milky white color. Then he puts on the Northwestern fight song and makes a solution that is some kind of purple swirling tornado. It was completely ridiculous. Nobody in the class could stop laughing at the ridiculocity. Oh, and the professor makes this really annoying "okay uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" noise all the time that can only be described as a really nasty, hesitant old guy groan. I don't think he realizes that every time he does it the entire class kind of laughs at him =P. I'm thinking I should switch over to the good professor in the 9 AM class. Everyone says I'm screwed otherwise hehe.
And I think I might actually join a frat! It's the geek frat, but fuck it, they're really cool guys haha. They seem to be trying to recruit me, calling me to do stuff and such. Haha, it's crazy, the guy that I stayed with during my visit last year is in that frat! I didn't realize it was him until after like 30 minutes of being in the same room as him hehe.
